- Control Panel > System and Security > System > Choose System Protection from left side > Choose drive you don't want to back up and turn it off from Configure button.

Disable System Restore on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1
If you don't want to back up your system you can disable System Protection easily on Windows 8.1.
